Best Motion Design Studios for Tech Brands (2026)
The short answer
The best motion design studios for tech brands in 2026 are Studio Huncho, Buck, ManvsMachine, Tendril, Oddfellows and Golden Wolf. Choose by the kind of motion you need: launch films, UI animation and brand motion that match your website (Studio Huncho), a large studio for character, 2D and 3D brand moments (Buck), premium product films that blend 3D and live action (ManvsMachine), 3D for deep tech and hardware (Tendril), motion and icon systems for software brands (Oddfellows), or playful, character-led campaigns (Golden Wolf).
What motion design means for a tech brand
Motion is no longer just the launch video. For most tech companies it now covers five jobs:
- Brand motion: how the logo, type and graphics move, so every asset feels like the same company.
- UI animation: product loops, Lottie or Rive animations and micro-interactions for the website and the app.
- Product films: short pieces that show what the product does, often built from real UI.
- 3D: hardware, infrastructure or abstract ideas made visible.
- Launch and campaign films: the big moment for a raise, a release or an event.
If you only need the launch film, see our list of the best SaaS launch video studios. This list is for teams that want motion across the whole brand.
How we picked
We've included ourselves, and every other studio here was checked on their own websites or in reputable industry coverage. Each one had to meet three tests:
- Named tech work. Motion for software, AI, hardware or platform companies in their public portfolio.
- Range beyond one film. Evidence of brand systems, 3D, UI or campaign motion, not a single style.
- A clear specialism. You can tell what they are best at from their work.
The list isn't ranked. Each entry says who the studio is best for.
The studios
1. Studio Huncho (Bengaluru, India)
Best for: tech startups and scale-ups that want launch films, UI animation and brand motion that share one visual system with the website.
That's us. Our Motion Design & Video work covers launch films, product and explainer videos, UI and Lottie animation, 3D and brand motion. We made the launch film for Sprinto around its $20M Series B and the launch of Sprinto AI, the launch film for Breakout, and the launch film for Sookti AI's Peak XV announcement. We're also Pine Labs' ongoing motion design partner, from the announcement film for its OpenAI connector integration to motion for Global Fintech Fest. For VESC Technologies we added 3D to the website.
Worth knowing: launch films usually take 2 to 4 weeks. 5.0 on Clutch. For a long-form animated series or a broadcast campaign across many markets, a larger studio such as Buck has more people to put on it.
2. Buck (Los Angeles, USA)
Best for: tech brands that want an ambitious brand moment, a character or a full visual system, made by a large team.
Since 2004, Buck has grown into a global creative company with studios in Los Angeles, New York, Sydney, Amsterdam and London. Its tech work includes a character for the Notion AI Assistant, an identity for Kia's AI assistant, a launch film for Nothing's AI tool Playground, a Year in Review for LinkedIn made in Rive, branding for GitHub Universe '24 and an animated anthem for Coinbase.
Worth knowing: it covers 2D, 3D, character, live action, branding and systems, so be clear about which you need. It is a certified B Corp.
3. ManvsMachine (London, UK)
Best for: hardware and premium tech products that need a cinematic product film mixing 3D and live action.
ManvsMachine is a creative company working in design, film and visual arts, with studios in London and Los Angeles. It introduced reMarkable's Paper Pro tablet with a product film that combined 3D renders with live action shot on 16mm and 35mm film, and made a film for Meta Quest Pro that was entered at Cannes Lions.
Worth knowing: it works with brands and with their agencies, at production scale. It is a strong fit for physical products more than for UI-heavy software.
4. Tendril (Toronto, Canada)
Best for: deep-tech, AI hardware and infrastructure brands that need 3D to show what people can't see.
Tendril describes its work as multi-dimensional branding for highly technical and innovative brands, with a home base in Toronto and a studio in São Paulo. Its services include strategy, design systems, animation, VFX and AR/XR. Its tech work includes films for Figure, the AI humanoid robot company, a teaser for Coinbase's CB1 card, a scalable design system for IBM's software campaigns, and a motion and 3D visual system for Questrade's rebrand.
Worth knowing: its strength is high-end 3D and visual systems, so it is less of a fit for quick product explainers.
5. Oddfellows (Portland, USA)
Best for: software brands that want motion and illustration systems that carry into the product, not just a single film.
Oddfellows is a visual strategy and storytelling studio with more than a decade of experience, covering creative direction, design, motion, illustration and systems. Its tech work includes "This is Figma", a launch film for the legal AI company Harvey, a brand anthem for Replit, a product icon system for Netflix and work on Google's Material You.
Worth knowing: it is also known for launch films, but its icon and systems work is what sets it apart for brand-wide motion.
6. Golden Wolf (London, UK)
Best for: consumer tech brands that want playful, character-led animation for campaigns.
Golden Wolf is an award-winning creative agency and animation studio, born in London and now also in New York. Its tech work includes Google Messaging's "Text It Like You Talk It", a piece for Samsung on its enhanced sharing experience on Spotify, a Super Bowl spot for Instacart and a Fortnite takeover of Times Square for Epic Games.
Worth knowing: it leans towards campaigns and entertainment, so it suits brand moments more than UI animation.
How to choose a motion design studio
- List every place motion will live. Website, app, social, events and sales decks all need different formats and lengths.
- Ask for a motion system, not just a film. You want rules and source files your team can reuse for the next release.
- Check how they handle UI. Ask whether they rebuild your interface for animation or work from screen recordings. Rebuilt UI looks sharper and stays editable.
- Ask about file formats. For the web, Lottie or Rive files load faster than video and can respond to scroll or hover.
- Plan for cut-downs. One hero piece should come with short versions for every channel.

FAQ
What is the difference between motion design and video production?
Motion design is mostly animated: graphics, type, UI and 3D. Video production usually means filming with cameras and crew. Many tech brands use both, and some studios here, such as ManvsMachine, combine them.
Do startups need brand motion?
Once you publish regular launches and social posts, yes. A simple set of motion rules keeps every asset consistent and makes each new video faster to produce.
What is UI animation?
Short animations of your product interface, used on the website, in onboarding or in product videos. They show how the product works more clearly than static screenshots.
Which studio is best for 3D?
Tendril and ManvsMachine are known for high-end 3D. Buck also covers 3D at scale. Studio Huncho adds 3D to websites and launch films, as with VESC Technologies.
